Some people take their gym training seriously. This means doing the exercises correctly.
Even when you think you are doing it correctly you can over do it. This means too much weight for what you can handle and also incorrect form when doing the exercise.
As in the picture above, the DEAD LIFT when done incorrectly is the biggest cause of low back problems. The back problems range from just discomfort caused by ligament tearing all the way up to severe disc prolapse that requires eventual surgery to correct. This exercise if done only slightly wrong creates large problems. The discomfort in many instances can be delayed, usually by 2 days and the pain intensifies. So, at the time you may not feel much discomfort and then 2 days later the inflammation builds with a lot of pain.
Do it correctly or don’t do it at all. A serious back injury that requires surgery may stop you from attending the gym ever again.
